Pilates is a unique method of body conditioning based on a series of stretching and strengthening exercises, developed 100 years ago by Joseph Pilates. Originally called ‘Controlology’, Pilates improves posture, provides flexibility and balance, helps align muscular imbalances in the body and focuses on ‘the mind/body connection’ by approaching exercises holistically. Mat Pilates allows for a deeper connection and better understanding of your unique physiology than reformer practice, particularly for beginners.

Jessica has a professional background in dance, pilates and education, and has taught audiences of teachers and students throughout North America and Europe. She holds an MA from OISE/UT and has been teaching a blend of Classic and Contemporary mat Pilates for 18 years. She has worked with a wide range of clients including professional athletes and folks with chronic illness, and is passionate about helping people increase mobility and strength and living their best lives. Jessica loves yoga and strength training, spending time with her rescue dog, Mr. Cooper, live music and art.
